The L Word: Generation Q Recap #5

Episode 5: "Labels" #lwordgenqrecap

Mornings with The L Word Generation Q are a new fan favorite! This week we open with Shane and Quiara and SURPRISE!!!! Quiara is pregnant! Over at the Haus of Queer Life, Alice and Nat wake up as normal except one tiny detail that is Gigi. Here comes some juicy drama we have all been asking for! Bette drops Angie and Jordie off at school and we learn they are in the school play. Tess shows up to the bar from an AA meeting and is already on the phone with her sponsor. She runs into Finley who slept at the bar and doesn't remember the night before. They head to a diner because Tess decides Finley is someone she will "help" today. Alice tells the crew she had a three-sum and somehow Bette has never heard the term throuple. We find this extremely hard to believe considering her and Tina were the ones who informed Alice about the "third wheel crush"! Dani's father sent a prenup for Sophie to sign with a homophobic clause, and Jose accidentally tells Micah he loves him. This was a rough morning for everyone!

Tess and Finley get to know each other which is super cute and nice to learn a little more about the two of them. Nat, Gigi and Alice have a very awkward kitchen conversation about what happened, what is happening, and what is going to happen. Nat doesn't seem to be over the past, Gigi seems interested in getting back into Nat's life, and Alice is just horny! Honestly it's the most fun their relationship has had this whole time and we are here for it along with the drama its surely to bring us. Dani yells at her dad and is finally sticking up for her relationship with Sophie. She hits him with the prenup, a quick fuck you, and they leave in a hurry. Shane rolls into the bar upset with Tess for missing the liquor delivery. She doesnt think she can trust her and Tess throws the "You fucked my girlfriend and you want to know if you can trust me?" line at her. Tess... we love you and are all about these come backs!

Finley apologizes to Rebecca who basically tells her to sort her shit out. Finley then calls her dad and we get some information about her not so accepting family. Dani and Sophie have more communication issues and this is a tired pattern. Tess is desperate for Lena to pick up the phone while starting at a closet full of alcohol. Jose and Micah have a heart to heart and then some steamy hot sex! Micah lets Jose try something he's never tried before and the music is on point. Tess is drunk, bartending and dancing all over with customers. Finley shows up to work a shift and they get drunk together with shots. Finley should absolutely know better considering Tess JUST told her she was sober! Bette breaks up with Felicity, who does not take it well, and Sophie doesnt seem to understand the person she's about to marry.

Bette is at the office late and see's Dani crying. Bette seems to take over as the mother figure for Dani which is fitting, although talk on the street is y'all want to see them hook up?! While it wouldn't make sense in this plot, we wouldn't be mad about it! All the lesbians show up at Angies play and cheer loud for parentless Jordie. Adorable! Angie is in the crew and they all take photos WITH FLASH like a bunch of grandmas!!! Alice holds hands with Nat and Gigi, and Angie and Jordie flirt hard core. Bette got both Angie and Jordie flowers and "uncle Shane" calls Angie out on her crush. Back at the bar, Tess and Finley are playing a dangerous game of never have I ever, shot version. Finley says what we've all been thinking "Lena sucks". Cut to arguably the best Sylvan Esso song.... and Finley and Tess are fucking. Not a huge Finley fan but we might have to rate this sex scene as number one on the show so far! HOT HOT HOT! We end the episode with Felicity's drunk husband causing a scene, He accuses Bette and shoves Angie before Bette pushes him and he hits his head on the cement. Cell phones record everything and the screen goes to credits.

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!
