Episode 6: "Loose Ends" #lwordgenqrecap
We open with the squad, the triple threat…. Shane and Alice go to comfort Bette. Alice leaving almost as quickly as she came because Bette didn’t tell her about Felicity. Just when Bette goes to announce her drop out of the race….. TINNNAAAAAAAAA!! Tina is at the door…. And we are screaming at the tv!
Finley and Sophie take a “nip dip” and decide to have a bro night. Pierce and Dani try to sort through damage control and Pierce explains how Bette was supposed to be for the community. Shane takes Angie to take her driver’s test and she passes! Alice and the throuple are at breakfast, when Gigi outs their relationship to the waitress. Tina and Bette rehash some old beef and we find out Tina didn’t go to Kit’s funeral… yikes. Shane says Angie can drive anywhere she wants and they end up at Jordi’s house. Angie wants to know how you know when you love someone and Shane and Quiara go over their love story. Angie then gets out and expresses her crush on Jordi and they kiss. Shane and Quiara watching when Shane says “lets do this!”, Shane is in for getting back with her ex wife and having a baby together.
Bro night is happening at Dana’s and Tess confronts Finley for acting weird. She also tells her it’s never gonna happen again and honestly we are a little disappointed. Tess then has another drink of alcohol, and Shane tells Finley she needs to move out. Sophie tells Finley she can move in.. without telling Dani which is bound to be another fight. “Closer” by Tegan and Sara plays and the girls dance… a little too close. Luckily they pull away before any cheating happens but we smell a foreshadow, anyone else?!? Tina has some one on one with Angie and Alice and Nat discuss some “feelings”. Nat is confused by her feelings for Gigi and Alice takes it all very well. You know what we are not taking well….? This constant fight between Dani and Sophie… what are they even fighting about honestly? Dani and Sophie have another fight and we are still confused about what why they’re fighting!
Bette goes outside to talk to the press and try to make the speech of her campaign to save her booty. FINALLY… what we have all been waiting for, Bette goes out and tells the press about Kits death. We find out Kit died of a heroin overdose that started with an opiod addiction. We end the episode with a lingering hug featuring our favorite OG couple Bette and Tina. Bette asks Tina to stay!
We never expected Tina to be back and we also never expected such a full body reaction to her return to The L Word. Most people were not Tina’s biggest stan, but we think the familiarity of original characters is super important and was a great move for the end of this season! You know what not a good move… leaving Micah out of the entire episode… yea they did that, no air time for our fave sensitive cutie, lets hope next week changes that!
